Browns Saddle Up To Beat The Colts

In an absolutely wild turn of events, the Browns beat the Colts 39-38 in a game that we did expect to be a shoot out. A game like this had so many unexpected twists & turns. For example Deshaun Watson only played a few snaps, Colts backup Gardiner Minshew had four total touchdowns, & probably the most shocking was the Browns defense gave up 38 points. Despite all the craziness that this game had to offer. A couple men stood alone in being responsible for the victory.

PJ Walker was once again tasked with leading this team to a victory and early on it was not promising. PJ struggled early to find a rhythm and not much offense was being produced. Once that last drive in the fourth quarter came along it was a wholedifferent story. Walker made two big time throws to Elijah Moore & Donovan Peoples-Jones to get the Browns within scoring position. After a few penalties, a man known as Kareem Hunt punched it in from the one yard line to officially seal the victory with about 30 seconds to spare. Another unsung hero of the win was Kicker Dustin Hopkins as he nailed every field goal and extra point in a game where they needed every last point they could muster up. These three guys were big parts in the victory, but I'd be remiss if I didn't have a separate paragraph for the man amongst boys.

Myles Garrett once again proved he is the best pass rusher in the NFL. He showcased his versatility in a massive way when his squad needed it the most. The stat sheet he put together was otherworldly. 9 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 forced fumbles (one resulted in a Touchdown), 1 pass deflection, and 1 insane blocked field goal where he jumped over the center. This game was easily one of Myles Garrett's best games of his career. It goes without saying, if we don't have Myles Garrett we don't win that game.

Now the Browns move on to a game against a feisty Seattle Seahawks team. We know already Deshaun Watson will not be playing thus giving PJ Walker an entire week with the ones. If PJ keeps managing the game and limits his mistakes they can easily win this game. Throwing the ball may be a little tougher going against Quandre Diggs, Devon Weatherspoon, Tariq Woolen, & Jamal Adams. The Browns defense will need to force turnovers again for a second straight week. They have to try their best to make it as easy as possible for Walker & the offense. So far Kenneth Walker & Tyler Lockett haven't practiced this week so that could loom large for the Browns. Overall I could very well see this game being like the Colts game, or a very low scoring game. Regardless, the goal is to leave Seattle with a third straight victory. Go Browns!
