Browns Play 4D Chess With The Niners

Welcome back from the bye week! There has simply been no problem solving inside the Browns organization since the last game. Arguably, the situation at hand may be worse than some fans realized. After about two almost three weeks off, quarterback Deshaun Watson has still not practiced due to a rotator cuff bruise. According to Mary Kay Cabot, on Monday the QB practiced inside while Dorian Thompson-Robinson & PJ Walker practiced outdoors with the rest of the squad. Watson also had scheduled media sessions that he never showed up to. What is happening in that organization? Is there something we as fans don't know that they're hiding? Only time will tell.

The same old Browns saying has never been more prominent than right now. Fans around the globe are getting rather annoyed with the S tier level dodging that Kevin Stefanski & Andrew Berry have been doing regarding Watson. Nobody knows anything outside the facility, the people inside don’t even know what's going on. DTR alluded to that yesterday after stating he didn't know he was going to start until 10:30 am on game day. Now, we are three days away from playing the 5-0 49ers and nobody knows who will be starting for the team.

As for the game, Jim Schwartz has a great defensive track record against Kyle Shanahan lead offenses. That being said, the Browns offense has to make plays and score points which will be incredibly hard to do against that defense and without Watson. San Francisco can’t be stopped but they can be slowed down. If the offensive coaching staff can simplify the game plan for DTR or PJ Walker then they may have a decent chance to keep it competitive. In all honesty, as a Browns fan myself I do not have much optimism for this game. With all the dysfunction happening over the last two weeks, I can't envision a situation where they upset the hottest team in football. If Watson isn’t 100%, then chalk this game up as a lost cause and start getting him ready against the Gardiner Minshew lead Colts.
